For those of you who have ties to Buffalo, or for quality non-fiction books and reading; one of my closest friends recently released his second book.
"Bike Path Rapist- A Cop's Firsthand Account of Catching the Killer Who Terrorized a Community", written by Jeff Schober with Detective Dennis Delano, has begun making headlines in Buffalo and beyond for it's quality writing, easy read, and facts surrounding the case.
"For twenty-five years, a series of rapes and murders by a faceless man dubbed "The Bike Path Rapist" terrorized the quiet suburbs of Buffalo, New York. His known attacks were in the early 1980's, and his spree continued through 2004. After a twelve-year gap, in September 2006 he strangled and killed a forty-five-year-old mother on a rural bike path."
"Bike Path Rapist examines the fascinating story inside the decadeslong investigation- including the startling revelation that an innocent man had spent more than twenty years in jail for two of the rapes. Homicide Detective Dennis Delano worked tirelessly on behalf of this man, who was finally exonerated- thanks to DNA evidence that, coupled with stellar detective work, also led to the capture of the real killer."
The book is available at amazon.com and trust me, it's well worth it to read!!!!
