Recently, Heintz & Weber co-sponsored the 2008 annual Gliding Stars Ice Show titled "Magical Fantasy on Ice". Gliding Stars was founded locally and currently has chapters scattered throughout the United States focusing on teaching adaptive skating to children & adults with special needs. Suzanne has been a skating instructor for 21-years now and myself, the organization's professional photographer for almost as long. In fact, we met through Gliding Stars and became the first wedding couple in Gliding Star's history.
This year, our son Francis D, who has been skating with the organization since 2002, was awarded the "Jessica Rose Thomas Award" for courage, determination and positive attitude for his ice skating. This is the highest award that Gliding Stars gives and we are so proud of Francis as he received this award last Friday night. He wanted nothing to do with the flowers though....
