Buffalo LB #44 Joe Andreessen joins the Weber's team! Check out our first project together on Instagram and Facebook.
Born and raised in Depew, New York, Joe Andreessen attended Lancaster High School, where he distinguished himself as a standout athlete. A two-time All-State honoree, he played a pivotal role in leading the Lancaster Legends to the NYSPHSAA Class AA Football Championship during his senior year, though they ultimately fell to Troy. Beyond football, Andreessen showcased his versatility by claiming a Class AA state wrestling title in his final year, further solidifying his legacy as an elite competitor.
Joe Andreessen began his collegiate journey at Bryant University in Rhode Island, where he played five seasons in the FCS-level Northeast Conference as a standout for the Bulldogs. Following an impressive 2022 season, he earned AP Second-Team All-American honors, a prestigious accolade in college football. For his sixth and final season of eligibility, Andreessen returned to his roots, transferring to the University at Buffalo to complete his collegiate career in front of family and friends.
After college, Joe Andreessen’s journey took an unexpected yet promising turn for him and his family. Despite going undrafted in the 2024 pro football draft, he earned an invitation to a rookie minicamp with his hometown team. His impressive performance during the tryout made a lasting impact, leading to him signing as an undrafted free agent. The rest his history.
In 2024, Joe Andreessen achieved what many only dream of. It took years of grit, determination, and unwavering willpower to get to this elite level, and Weber’s is thrilled to have a front-row seat to his promising future.
